New Intern for 2026

Mbambu Tumusime Debora will be our SOMA intern from September 2026 to August 2027, as SOMA continues to expand our ministry ‘from everywhere to everywhere’. Debora is based in Kasese, in rural West Uganda, where the Mt Tabor prayer mountain receives 10000 prayer pilgrims each month. She is a META Youth graduate and joins us in the voluntary unpaid position, which will fit around her existing commitments in the Diocesan children’s office and her own charity work with unmarried mothers and their children (which she set up as her META Youth project).

Our aim is that our SOMA interns can gain experience in Charity management, leadership and discipleship making and receive a commendation for any future employers for their involvement in this scheme. Our 2025-2026 UK based intern Matt Morgan has really grown through his experiences and already begun employment with another charity alongside his internship, which will stand him in great stead for the future. Huge congratulations to Matt for seizing his chances and to Debora for being willing to step into Matt’s big shoes!
