Prayer, intercession and releasing the prophetic
We believe that prayer changes things and us and therefore is at the heart of our work in SOMA. We have a team of ongoing intercessors for SOMA, and each team member on a mission is supported by a team of personal intercessors. We are a prophetic movement meaning we believe that the Holy Spirit guides us and is living and active in our world today and we want to hear what he has to say and enable the UK church to hear it too. We are called to be the nervous system of the Body of Christ. The nervous system wakes up the body when it is in pain. We are alert in prayer for the church around the globe wherever it is suffering, in pain, or facing conflict and persecution. Supporting them through prayer and by sending teams...

Join a team
We are always seeking team members for SOMA missions, we operate within an Anglican context but welcome team members from other denominations. So, if you are willing to take a step of faith into the unknown and move out of your comfort zone, then joining a SOMA team could be for you!
Of course, teams include those who can teach and preach, but if you can tell your faith story and pray with others you could be part of a team too. Team members raise funding for their travel and accommodation, yet in the past ten years not one person who has said ‘yes’ in faith to being on a team has not seen the Lord’s provision, sometimes in remarkable ways.
SOMA Mission trips can be anything from 6 days to two weeks. We work at the invitation of a local Anglican Bishop/Archbishop and bring renewal teaching and ministry to their dioceses. Teams will always have an experienced leader, current church leader and a mix of lay and ordained team members and are often drawn together from more than one nation.
For each Mission we build a unique programme to address current issues identified by the inviting Bishop that are faced by the Diocese and delegates. As the Mission progresses, we adapt the programme as led by the Holy Spirit through intercessors, delegates and the team.
Team members are asked to fundraise their costs plus a contribution to mission costs. However we do not want money to be an impediment, and therefore we are currrently setting up a bursary scheme.

Testimonials:
“very grateful for your input on our recent Core Team and staff retreat. It was really excellent.” Church Leader, North England
“it was a great blessing to receive your input. Clearly God used you to help people to encounter the gospel of Jesus Christ in transforming ways.” Conference Centre Director, West Country.
“Thanks so much for your ministry to us over the church weekend. Our people have been unbelievably positive about the weekend as a whole and I think the Lord was meeting with people in all sorts of different ways” Curate, South of England.
“Thank you so much for teaching at our Residential week. I’m hearing that our students were impacted by what you had to contribute.” Theology College
“We are so thankful for the word you brought!. The word you bought needed to be said in the minster. And since it feels things have really changed, according to God.” Saturday Night Gathering, Midlands.
“A very sincere thank you for the great, encouraging, equipping teaching you brought to us for our Saturday theology morning. You and the team blessed us generously with teaching that inspired, prayers that 'connected', and a spirit of encouragement that was so appreciated. It was a gift to us which has opened other gifts! I've had numerous conversations since with a number of those attending to say how helpful they found it, and we have also remarked that there was a sense in which the spirit of the Saturday morning overflowed into Sunday gatherings too. Yesterday we leant into the prophetic in both our Sunday gatherings and it was a wonderful time in which we saw healing and encouragement - praise God!” Church Leader, South London.
