We do this in a number of ways:

Speaking at events

Host a SOMA mission

All ministry is free at the point of contact and we never want money to put you off connecting with the worldwide church through SOMA,  but we are always grateful if churches can cover costs of ministry - travel expenses and speaker’s time with a donation and/or an ongoing partnership with SOMA.

Show your connection with the Global Church by joining our SOMA partner scheme.

We offer an entry level partnership (starting at just £40/month) right through to major mission partners at Platinum and Gold levels.

Each level of commitment:

  • Provides increasing access to SOMA resources, teaching and mentoring, as well as opportunities for church members to serve with SOMA at home and abroad.

  • Offers a closer connection with a global partner facilitated by SOMA and an audit of your current mission practice to enable your church to become a receiver as well as a giver in Global Mission. 

  • Provides increasing access to SOMA resources, teaching and mentoring, as well as opportunities for church members to serve with SOMA at home and abroad.

  • Enables increasing equipping, enabling and envisioning of the Global Church, especially in places with limited resources.

Bronze

£40+/month or £500+/year

  • Partnering with SOMA gives you a personal connection to the churches of the Global South. Get input, inspiration and make a statement that your church wants to be connected with what God is doing around the world - both by giving and by receiving the passion and fire from the places we connect you to.

  • Often a neglected area of church life, we’ll help you review your focus and giving and make sure they fit well with your vision and values, so that you are able to both give to and receive hope from the amazing things God is doing around the world.

  • All Bronze Partner churches receive regular communication helping them, their leaders and young people access the amazing training and learning experiences SOMA has available.

  • SOMA will offer you an inspirational mid-week or Sunday speaker with a message of hope from the Scripture, illustrated with good news from the Global Church and tailored to your church context,

Silver

£80+/month or £1000+/year

  • Silver Partners connect with Global South, have Mission Committee Consultation (and follow up), priority access to META and mission and to SOMA speakers.

  • We are offering ‘Olive Branch’ mentoring to any church leader in need of a personal revival and renewal that comes from an encounter with the wonderful work God is doing through His Spirit around the world. Get connected and get refreshed. Mentoring tailored to individual needs. .

  • Do you have a project or partnership you’d like to visit as a church trip? We can provide resources and support around that, including safeguarding training for international contexts, briefing and debriefing for teams and, more importantly, can transform the visit into a SOMA mission by adding in teaching and learning opportunities in the local diocese.

  • We’ll provide you with access to our back catalogue of teaching resources, written and video.

Gold

£200+/month or £2500+/year

  • At Silver level we work with your church and leaders to make sure you are making a significant investment into Global Mission and catching the fire from around the world that can enliven your church.

  • We train leaders and church leaders to facilitate international mission team and learning cohorts. Get equipped for adventures of a lifetime that can revive your faith in God, mission and his church.

  • We bring the world to your parish, giving you preferential access to training sessions, weekend away speakers and will even help facilitate SOMA Entry missions, where International guests join you for a week of mission and bring God’s fire to your context.

  • We have a dream that local communities of prayer will go on mission all over the UK inspired by the hope that comes from seeing God’s fires of revival around the world.

    We will give support and opportunities to spread the SOMA olive branches of hope all over your surrounding area, and develop your prayer culture as you pray as part of a global family of prayer.

    Impact other churches in your region with stories of faith, hope and love as a regional flag flier for what God is doing around the world.

    Chance to energise your own church by becoming a ‘SOMA Abbey’ sending SOMA Parish teams to minister in the power of the Spirit in other contexts in your area, inspiring with stories of what God has done and praying for the Spirit to move in power.

Platinum

£400+/month or £5000+/year

Platinum churches love to give more than they receive. A Platinum church receives all the benefits of Gold Partner Churches, and if it fits with their vision they get the chance to become key SOMA Abbey Churches for the nations and their region.

The platinum partnership with SOMA will accelerate the church’s ministry and mission. Church members come to see themselves as a part of a global community of prayer. It becomes normal to send SOMA Parish teams to minister in the power of the Spirit in their region and around the world. Platinum churches are receiving churches and have additional opportunities for hosting overseas speakers including overseas bishops connected to SOMA.

All church leaders joining the SOMA Abbey scheme will be part of a buddy scheme with the National Director as an encouragement to develop their life of prayer, connect deeply to the nervous system of the body of Christ and join the Holy Spirit on his great mission to the world.
