META expansion
The core META oversight team that handles logistics and development in the META Youth family met recently to explore development possibilities at an exciting time for our 16-19s project.
META is exploring running with two UK cohorts from 2026, utilising some technology discovered by on the META Youth participants which would enable break out rooms within breakout rooms and an expansion into two cohorts without losing a shared identity. It is also helping birth new METAs in Ireland and Rwanda, with strong interest from SOMAs in Australia, Southern Africa, and Kenya in getting going too.
META Founder Stu Wright set out the vision for the future.
He talked about a sense that God was calling us to reach out to more people to join in the journey. Referencing the film The Last Jedi he reminded us of Po the pilot, who said ‘call them and they will come.’ The result was all the little ships came to join the fight just when they were needed.
Stu’s prophetic ethos has been to ‘focus on the depth’ and let God ‘focus on the breadth’… in other words help each 16-19 year old, young leader or overall leader go deep with God and the Lord will multiply META in his timing.
His longterm sense is that through META Youth we are ‘raising an army’. As Stu puts it, ‘We are not interested in an audience, we are raising an army…. Step out in faith and do it.’
In all this Stu has been inspired by the missionary to India, William Carey, who said ‘expect great things from God, attempt great things for God.’

Funding for Project METAmorph where Stu and young presenters will be refilming all the META teaching videos to a high standard, including clips from experts to accompany the teaching. Please pray that for all the work that will go into that project (Autumn 2027)
