Youth Prepare for Mission

SOMA National Director, Richard Moy, recently visited the New Wine hub at St Paul’s Ealing to help train a group of discipleship year students preparing to go for mission.

The group, made up of young adults aged 18-23 are from churches across the South East of England. They have been on the New Wine Discipleship Year ‘learning to love Jesus Christ, by being immersed in God’s word, filled with God’s Spirit, and sent out to build God’s kingdom in our cities, towns, and villages.’

They are heading to the Red Tribe project in Kenya, among the Maasai near the Tanzanian border, this June.

The group is led by Karen Young and it will be the second visit this DY Hub has made to Kenya. If you know anyone aged 18-23 interested in serving a church for a year on a DY course you can check out the link above or email dy@new-wine.org. (For most Hubs you will need to already have visas in place to work or volunteer in the UK).

SOMA UK are always happy to facilitate training for groups from the UK going on a cross cultural mission experience to enable as much learning as possible to take place and to equip teams both to go and to come back really well.
