Trustees agree strategy to 2030

SOMA Trustees met at Stanton House, near Oxford over the past 28 hours for a faith-inspiring affirmation of the strategy and direction of travel of SOMA UK up to 2030, focusing on six strategic goals in an atmosphere of fellowship, faith, and a context of amazement at how far the Lord has led us in the past year.

Among the decisions was the affirmation of the recruitment of two META Youth graduates to the trustee body, a focused review of our Learning Cohorts and communication strategy and a deep sense of the Lord at work in the detail and the big picture as each trustee brought their experience and learning to what was an encouraging and exciting room to be in. The annual accounts were also received with huge thanks to God for his incredible provision to us as a growing charity.

The meeting followed on from a creative and encouraging day with the SOMA National Leadership Team (see previous posts).

Adverts will go out next week for board positions with responsibilities for safeguarding, and their remains room on the board for people who carry the SOMA heart and vision and can contribute in finance, HR and connecting SOMA to new constituencies. Do look out for them if you are interested in serving in some way.

A huge thanks to the Chair (Kevin Roberts), trustees (Jenny Brown, Wayne Massey, Jules Morgan, Claire Nye, Rachael Sanya, Ken Wiebe), as well as officers Nev Towers (Hon Treasurer) and Sarah Taylor (Clerk to the trustees) and staff present (Claire Bateman and Richard Moy). .
