META Youth Graduate as England Win Penalties
A full day of SOMA activity in London culminated in 30+ Meta Youth graduates, alumni, supporters and potential participants enjoying a BBQ and watching the Euro 2024 success story at Christ Church W4, Chiswick in London.
A relaxed and inspiring afternoon also saw graduates and supporters dialling in from around the world from North America, Middle-East, Africa and Asia.
Young people gave testimony as to how the META process had inspired and equipped them and the sense of excitement about going on mission to Rwanda in August was palpable.
A great day was capped off by a loud cheer as another young man from West London, Buyako Saka, scored a late goal and penalty for England, overcoming history and abuse as he did so. Saka gave glory to God for all he was able to achieve and its’ well worth reading his story here. Saka told TV interviewers he ‘hold’s on to God’s promises’ live on camera and we’re hoping and praying for all our young people that they will continue to find great faith in their Creator too, and their own ways of inspiring others to encounter God.
What we could see in London this weekend was a great encouragement that those prayers are already being answered greatly.
