Deliverance Training in Sligo
It was a joy to be able to offer four seminars at New Wine Sligo on deliverance ministry. The spaciousness of four sessions meant that Henry Blair and Richard Moy were able to build up the material during the week, finishing with a session in the arena where we were able to offer freedom ministry from the front.
One of the training slides, introducing Jon Thompson’s framework for deliverance ministry.
The sessions built up over the week, from what every Christian needs to know to what leaders need to put in place in their church or area. Handouts are available on yournameislikehoney.com, and SOMA is happy to facilitate these or similar seminars elsewhere (this is the area we are getting most requests to speak into at the moment in the UK).
Session One: The Spiritual Realm - What it means to be in a spiritual battle, who we are fighting against and the reality of warfare. Considers why anger is just one of several things that can give the enemy a foothold in your life, the impact of curses, sin, witchcraft, worldliness and how Spirit-filled Christians can still be assaulted by the enemy without realising it. Includes hot tips on what not to do, and how to discern what is actually going on when you need to.
Session 2: Deliver Us From Evil - deliverance 101 what every mature Christian should know - how to contend for yourself and your loved ones. How to stand firm in Christ, know your position and authority and defeat the enemy's plans without becoming a needless casualty of war.

Explores some models of deliverance ministry that may help (or hinder) this ministry. A practical guide for church leadership teams and those exercising a ministry of discernment and of oversight.
