The SOMA Community of Prayer

Prayer is the foundation of everything we do at SOMA; it gives us an avenue to praise God for his provision, ask Him to meet our needs, and find peace in unsettled times. Prayer was the foundation of our recent emergency fundraiser which saw God provide over £50,000. Prayer keeps us focused on our mission.

Here at SOMA UK, we have a Community of Prayer to enforce these foundations - a group of people committed to pray for the SOMA staff team, mission team leaders, missions, and more. We communicate once or twice monthly via email, and those who can gather with us to pray once a month on Zoom.

New for 2024, it has been a joy to be able to share live videos, pictures, and prayer requests from mission with intercessors through a WhatsApp group.

Details are not public and members can only reply to/comment on messages put out by the organisers, so members don’t get bombarded with too much information.

It has been exciting and encouraging to see God stories unfolding live, and also so helpful to have a lifeline at the end of the SOMA staff team's fingertips when prayer requests have been urgent. We are held and supported by this community
