META Youth off to Rwanda

Despite some delay at Heathrow the UK part of the team are in good spirits as they head to Kigali

The second ever cohort of the META Youth programme has touched down in Rwanda for an action packed programme.

The team consists of those who have been on the 2023-2024 programme, alongside leaders and a large number of returners - who loved META Youth so much in the 2022-2023 programme they have stayed connected all year and become part of our new alumni programme.

The team will gather from the UK, Africa, Asia and North America and get involved in serving local churches over two weekends, and putting on a youth conference geared at the children of ministers within the Diocese of Shoygwe.

The UK delegates gathered at London Heathrow on Thursday evening and arrived 07:40 (CAT) in Kigali on Friday 16 August.

Stu Wright is excited about two weeks of mission and ministry as the culmination of a whole year of META. Stu is particularly excited that the programme will put the young people through their paces and they are the ones delivering the talks, programme and taking a lead.

Stu writes that: “Our prayer is that the young adults on the team will grow as believers, knowing their authority in Christ and be able to look back on this as a moment where they went deeper, got equipped in a seminal moment in all of their lives and saw the Kingdom come in power.”
