A SOMA Wedding

It was a great joy this July to celebrate the wedding of two former SOMA UK staff members Monique and Abraham. Monique and Abraham began work together in 2021, sharing a part-time internship at SOMA between them alongside their other work roles. At the wedding Abraham explained how coming to work at SOMA on the day that Monique was also in the office quickly became the highlight of his week and how their love gradually blossomed.

It was a very happy day with their former boss, and SOMA National Director, Richard Moy officiating and speaking at the wedding. He recalled their first day at work together in his sermon and the amusement of doing a work profile and realising they all had strengths in the same area of organisation.

After their honeymoon Monique and Abraham are spending the summer in Hereford Diocese, staying at the the Bishop’s Palace, as Monique is doing a placement there from Wycliffe Hall where she is studying for ordination.
