Tanzania mission - amazing blessings

Andrew Allan Johns (the chair of SOMA International and National Director of New Zealand) reports:

Nearly finished the Revive East Africa Tanzania SOMA International mission. This has been a highly impactful mission in five dioceses with probably over 1000 physical healings ministered by locals trained to pray for locals and probably 1,500 prophetic words of encouragement, again locals ministering to locals. Likewise, gifts of the Holy Spirit have been activated and many demons have been removed, most quietly but some spectacularly. It has been wonderful leading a truly cross-cultural team and very satisfying to leave behind trained local leaders and a useful resource in Swahili. The people are very devout and welcoming. It has been a privilege to work here again.”

Meanwhile, SOMA UK team pastor, David MacDougall, found thoroughly deserved personal blessings on the mission:

“Thank you so much for welcoming me into Tanzania. It has been a very significant time for me. Being made a Canon is something you will never know how deeply that has blessed me. May God continue and fulfil what He has begun.” Rev Canon David McDougall

David was based at Mpwapwa, where 200+ in attendance, Lots of people were healed and he reports that the SOMA training modelling worked for Holy Spirit, healing, prophecy and forgiveness.

And SOMA Missions Coordinator Henry Blair reported healing from Iringa:

Today we ministered in the cathedral to the town clergy of Iringa and surrounding area. Our time was short but God was faithful, we were supposed to start at 9 am but at 9.30 we were brought for breakfast and we started after 10am. We were to finish a 12 noon so time was short, we began with a teaching on holiness and everyone was very quiet no questions. I began to question how today would go. So we moved on to forgiveness and spiritual realm. The bishop asked we pray for healing, so as it was now 11.30 I began the model for healing we asked if anyone had pain they needed prayer for. The first man had pain behind his eye, we prayed and he was free of pain. I decided to ask for a second person to come up. A young priest came up who explained ha had been in an accident and could not bend his back for five years. He said the pain was at 9 out of 10 even with tablets. So we asked his to try to bend. He leaned forward and that was it. We prayed and after the prayer before we could ask he was slowly bending over he was looking at his shoes and then he straightened up again. He tried again and this time touched his toes to claps of his fellow clergy. Two canons came up to ask for this power of the Holy Spirit. So we invited everyone to stand and prayed for them to be filled. God had changed the spiritual temperature of the room in a moment. We had them pray for each other and over 30 people wanted to testify to being healed. What a way to finish the morning. Praise God.

And a final plea from Andrew:

The next SOMA International Mission is in Kenya on 2-11 October where we have expressions of interest from 20 bishops for the same programme. Please pray for enough team members.
