Turning the Tide - Ireland 2023

The Ireland mission got off to a tremendous start yesterday as Bishop David McClay commissioned the International team. He shared that God had laid on his heart to share that we should Evangelise, Equip, Empower, Encounter (God and people), Encourage and Envision and then realised that almost all of those words were on the SOMA Ireland printed banner behind him (and the ones that weren’t should have been!) That was just one of a series of prophetic moments where it was clear that God was on a mission and we were just joining in. As we took Communion the heavens aligned above us (see photo) to look like all the angels were joining in. May that be true!

Most of the team have got VISAs just in time, a few are still on their way, but this was a tremendous hopeful gathering. We’ve been really blessed in the UK to partner with New Wine Hubs from Manchester, Woodford Wells and Southampton who are among the many fantastic young adults on the team, many of them Internationals themselves.

Please keep praying for us as we join in what God is already doing. Follow the Diocese of Down and Dromore @downanddromore on socials for more…
