Podcasting Trustee helps get SOMA Community of Prayer online

It’s always great to meet in person where wonderful things can happen during coffee breaks. lunches and car conversations. At our recent residential New Trustee Rachael Sanya was able to bring her Podcast Producer expertise to bear on one of the innovations we were considering as a staff and trustee team. Establishing a SOMA Community of Prayer that people can really feel a part of.

New Trustee Rachael Sanya bringing her work expertise to SOMA

We praise God for all the trustees at SOMA UK and the way each person has been equipped by God to make a difference through the ministry of SOMA.

We’d already had a key breakthrough with using a WhatsApp Community group during missions. Grace McSharry, our Intercessions Coordinator, has set this up so that no other members can see your phone number, so it is a secure group to join, and the only people who can post new messages are the hosts of the group. Members can reply to messages, but the replies don’t fill up your phone with notifications - it’s a whole new way to use WhatsApp!

But Rachael, whose job is to help ‘savvy entrepreneurs’ and podcasters by providing valuable and high-quality strategic content for your Podcast audience, introduced us to some online software where we could do a trial of doing daily prayer together. We did this for the 5 days General Synod was on. People could join in live on YouTube or Facebook, with comments coming through to our online studio, and we featured guests from Lebanon, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia.

You can check out these videos anytime on our YouTube channel. Some of our favourites are below, with prayers, Scripture and testimonies that will encourage you any time.
