Much rejoicing from team returning from Rwanda
A SOMA Parish Mission made up of team from Dorridge in Birmingham Diocese had a very fruitful mission in Rwanda building on the SOMA International visit there last April.
Greg the team leader writes:
“It was a very encouraging day. Those present reported back on how their parishes had applied April’s teaching which again humbled us beyond measure. Duncan in his Holy Spirit conclusion asked people to stand if they wanted to be part of the answer of the prayer to the Lord to send workers into his harvest and every person there stood. He also felt led to pray for those who wanted to be part of the answer to the prayer but were fearful, for whatever reason, to speak to others. He was able to pray for several individuals who responded.”
Greg also said it was very encouraging in terms of feedback on earlier teaching. He saw real results in terms of understanding; coupled with fruitful implementation. Most encouraging were stories showing parishes moving beyond an initial response of evangelistic activity into a second or third wave with creation of new cell groups to disciple converts. One parish had started a programme of training new trainers to get more people involved and active, another had seen and harnessed the power of the testimony of changed lives in communities where everyone knows everyone else.
“To be honest I was rather blown away. One pastor told me they were using their SOMA training to replicate and apply the teaching on healing and prophecy into their regular parish activities.”
More reports to follow.
