Archbishop calls youth to share ministry abroad.
In a moving climax to the SOMA youth mission in South Sudan, Archbishop Justin Badi Arama called on the 120 young disciples gathered to be prepared to fulfil the great commission and ‘Go’. His powerful address was greeted enthusiastically by delegates with the vast majority spontaneously shouting out that they would go.
This was the culmination of two days of teaching on the usual Youth Conference themes of character, competency and calling; using the life of Gideon as a springboard for teaching on forgiveness, repentance, holiness and hearing from God.
The final ceremony was also blessed by the visit of Relay Trust delegates, Charles Raven and Daniel who both gave a short address which added to the theme of the conference.
Delegates came to testify to the impact of the conference afterwards, with some particularly moving testimony regarding forgiveness building on Revd Capt Alice’s talk.
Tonight the team rest and prepare for a 5:30am departure from the base for a MAF flight to the next leg of the mission in Eastern Equatoria.
