Nigerian Intercessors Bless Yorkshire

Sometimes God give you just what you need in the most surprising of ways. Revd Diane Reid, a prophetic intercessor and a new key member of new SOMA National Leadership Team, writes about how God used the global church to bless her this week.

"I was feeling inadequate in my personal experience of the global church, and wondering if I really had a place in the SOMA NLT... On Sunday, 3 London based Nigerian Christians turned up at St James’... apparently, they are a group of prophetic intercessors and God had spoken to them in their prayer time together and told them to come to Selby. They had never heard of it (why would they?!) and had to Google it. They didn't have much more than that, but they booked somewhere to stay and drove up on Saturday for the weekend and walked the streets, praying and prophesying. Having prayed right through Saturday night, early on Sunday morning God told them to go to church. They did not know what churches were in Selby, so again had to Google and ask God to direct them to which church. He said come to St James', so they did! They got to hear [my husband] Jason preaching about the importance of hearing the voice of God and being obedient, followed by a testimony about the prophecy course I've just finished leading.

One of them, Pastor Joshua, came up to me afterwards and said "I thought, this can't be Anglican - it's so full of the Spirit, it's Pentecostal"!

There was a load of other stuff, suffice to say God is Awesome - and the Nigerians and I are encouraged both by God and the global church!"

We live in an age where God is bringing Olive Branches of hope to the UK church from his Global Church family. We are so grateful that God brought African Intercessors to our SOMA Intercessor, and for this affirmation of all the ministry Diane and other members of the NLT will bring to SOMA's ministry.

Diane will be on her second SOMA mission of 2023 as part of the intercessors mission to Ireland 5-9 October.
