New Year, New Opportunities

It was a joy to start 2025 teaching yesterday at the School of Ministry at St Aldates, Oxford with an international cohort of ministry apprentices, on what was also Claire Bateman’s first day in the job as Operations Officer at SOMA UK.

It is inspiring to see the way God continues to call and train young adults here in the UK.

We spent two hours teaching through the pastoral letters, and enjoyed cameo visits from Tom Barber and Simon Ponsonby to our session.

After that we were able to connect with Charles Raven from Relay Trust for a productive and useful lunch session.

Today, Claire and Richard begin to review the trustees’ vision for SOMA going forward and how to implement that and Richard and Kevin have meetings planned with the new Clerk to Trustees and a potential Intercession Coordinator.

New Year, New Opportunties.
