Richard Moy comes to SOMA UK from parish ministry in London and Wolverhampton. He is married to Nicola and they have three children. He came to faith on a short-term mission trip to Romania in 1995 and has travelled since then in Africa, Asia, Europe for missions and supporting Christian workers. In the UK he speaks at churches, conferences and retreats around the country and is finishing a doctorate in the development of renewal and charismatic ministry within the Church of England. He has been a Regional Director for New Wine England and a Fresh Expressions Advisor for Lichfield Diocese.
Bishop Williams has long been an enthusiastic part of SOMA, taking part in our vital intercession work and participating in a SOMA mission to DRC. He grew up in Uganda, still has relatives in East Africa, and has a particular commitment to DR Congo. He has been Bishop of Basingstoke since 2014, and is also the emissary of the Archbishop of Congo.
Stephen is a missiologist and pastor-teacher with a vision to see the Anglican Communion empowered and propelled by the Spirit into strategic Spirit-led mission and Spirit-empowered ministry. He is married to Janet and they have three married children.
Steve’s background is in aeronautical engineering, and he has associated financial skills. He joined SOMA in 2007 and ensures the integrity and transparency of all SOMA’s finances. He and his wife, Mary, have two married children. Steve was a member of the 2008 SOMA mission to South Africa and in 2019 to Melbourne.
Graham’s special concerns are the engagement of the Gospel with contemporary culture, youth ministry and the theology of Renewal. He has been a leader in Renewal in the UK and overseas since 1977. Until recently, he was Missioner to the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, with particular responsibility for leading the national team spearheading the Anglican and Methodist churches’ positive response to the current wave of Fresh Expressions’ cross-cultural church planting
Judy Deegan assists with SOMA’s administration and the production of SHARING. She works on Mondays and Tuesdays during school term time and can be contacted via email on firstname.lastname@example.org. She is married to Tim and has two young, lively sons.
Kate Brankin, Intercession Co-Ordinator
Kate oversees and coordinates the work of our dedicated SOMA intercessors. She organises intercessory prayer cover during missions themselves, and also produces regular Prayer Briefings for SOMA Intercessors. She works as International Co-Ordinator for the Archbishop of the Episcopal Church of South Sudan, for much of the time in Juba, South Sudan.
